Halloww everyone it's Halloween night and it's time to get creative. This project I always wanted to create something special base on the movie TeenWolf with Michael J. Fox. This is my first attempt to learn movie makeup, and finding "The ins and outs" of latex props. Before I get started I've needed cosmic to do a professional job. Lucky for me Blick art store had a monster makeup tutorials show.
I did a search for a one shop till you drop and found Sprite Halloween store. Unfortunately they didn't have any prosthetic Lycan brow and nose, so I had to order online MostlyDead.com. As for the other items will below with the group image.

Top Left: Werewolf Deluxe Fangs Kit, Grease Makeup Grey and Brown, Cream Makeup Black,Brown
Top Right: Prosthetic Lycan Nose, Werewolf Ears
Bottom Left: Cotton Swabs, PomPoms,Sponges Wedge
Bottom Right: Makeup Setting Spray, Transparent Loose Powder, Spirit Gum and Adhesive Remover
I choice to start with the lycan nose by prejudging were the nose would best sit on my face. Next I put a medium layer of spirit gum on my nose from front and sides tap until it begin to stick. However, one problem with the nose I had was my mustache wasn't able to make a great seal under my nose. After firmly pressing down it stand put while I use a cotton swab on the outer edges adding a extra layer to help when I want to snare.
As the bottom of the prosthetic was holding I've continue to work towards the brow as the inner eye but, was extremely hard worrying not to glue my eyelids. I than used the makeup sealer in a T and crisscross motion while closing my eyes. What it does is make the spirit gum wont have problem when I layer with grease makeup.

After the hard part I had no issues with the werewolf ears as i just added the back of the that will stick to my skin. (One problem with the nose that it was hard to breath)
What is a Lycan without it trademark fangs am I right? Reading the instruction and learning how to use the kit wasn't a easy task because at first it wouldn't seal after five minute. But I notice that if you waited for the powder and liquid set for awhile it begin to turn into a gel. Than you place the into the fang as you push up on your canines and firmly on the front of your teeth it will hold. But in the meantime you need to lay back and flex you teeth outward for fifteen minutes. The second problem I had was the bottom fangs wouldn't fit on my teeth as I had trouble with the mixture so, I was in bit hurry since I had class at 11:10 am and my other classmates wanted to see my results.
As for the face paint I used the makeup sealer first as I dab the brown grease paint with the wedges. I had to use the entire makeup because the prosthetic was hard to cover. I used loose powder to help with my sweating and the color was to shiny which, dim it down. Then use brown cream make to show my wrinkles of the nose and with my own as I was impress with the results. I'd wish I had a brush to blend them naturally but I was in a hurry.
As for the final touch I added black cream makeup to add the nose and darker of my facial figures that pop up my face to look whole. As for the another final layer of makeup sealer this is the end results.

As for my final thought the project was a blast or should I've said a woot. For all the cost it run about sixty dollars but, I will still can reuse them next year. But, if you need a laugh I had to rush at my job right after class as my co-workers at the post offices were excited their boring day at the office. I am a little disappointed that none of the women wanted to pet me or take a self with me while i was at school or work.
But Happy Halloween
